The Coppery thorntail (Discosura letitiae or Popelairia letitiae) is an endemic hummingbird of Bolivia. It was registered by Bourcier and Mulsant in 1852. It is only known from some male specimens, therefore, its behavior and habitat are unknown. It has even been suggested that it represented a hybird or a variant of the "Discosura longicaudus" but a study has validated its status as a distinct species from the aforementioned. From peak to tail it measures 3.54 in.
