La Coqueta abanico canela (Lophornis ornatus) fué registrado por Boddaert en 1783. Su distribución comprende, Trinidad y Tobago, el este de Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, Guayana Francesa y en Brasil hasta el delta del Rio Amazonas. Su hábitat natural son los matorrales de las tierras bajas subtropicales o tropicales, bosques de tierras bajas húmedas subtropicales o tropicales, sabanas húmedas, plantaciones y antiguos bosques muy degradados. De pico a cola mide 7 cm.

The Tufted coquette (Lophornis ornatus) was registered by Boddaert in 1783. Its distribution includes Trinidad and Tobago, eastern Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana and in Brazil to the Amazon River delta. Its natural habitats are the subtropical or tropical lowland moist forests, subtropical or tropical lowland moist shrublands, Moist savannas, Plantations and heavily degraded former forests. From peak to tail it measures 2.76 in.

La Coqueta de Guerrero o Coqueta cresticorta o Coqueta barbuda (Lophornis brachylophus o Lophornis brachylopha) fué registrada por R. T. Moore en 1949. Es un colibrí endémico de México, cuyo hábitat natural son las selvas húmedas y bosques montañosos húmedos tropicales o subtropicales. La mayoría de los avistamientos se han dado en la Sierra de Atoyac, en la Costa Grande de Guerrero. De pico a cola mide 7 cm.

Its a endemic hummingbird of Mexico wich natural habitats are the rain forest and the subtropical or tropical moist montanes. Most sightings have o curred in the Sierra de Atoyac, in the Costa Grande of Guerrero State. From peak to tail it measures 2.76 in.
