The White-tailed hummingbird or Guerrero's hummingbird (Eupherusa poliocerca) was registed by Elliot in 1871 and it is an endemic Mexican hummingbird. Its natural habitat are the subtropical moist deciduous plantations and the pine and oak forest in the westernmost portion fo the Sierra Madre del Sur in Guerrero and the extreme western in Oaxaca. This bird is sometimes considered a subspecies of the "Stripe-tailed hummingbird" (Eupherusa eximia). From peak to tail it measures 3.94 in.
