El Mango verde o Zumbador verde de Puerto Rico (Anthracothorax viridis) fué registrado por Audebert y Vieillot en 1801. Esta ave es endémica de la isla principal de Puerto Rico, así como de su archipiélago. Su hábitat natural son los bosques de montaña y regiones montañosas de la isla sin embargo, a menudo, puede ser encontrado en plantaciones de café y otros tipos de plantaciones. Su distribución comprende México, Guatemala, Belice, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panamá, Venezuela y Colombia. Su hábitat natural son las colinas, valles y laderas húmedas, desde el nivel del mar hasta aproximadamente los 750 m., de altura. De pico a cola mide entre 10 y 11 centímetros.

Its distribution includes, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela and Colombia. Its natural habitats are the foothills, valleys and moist slopes, from sea level to approximately 2,460 ft., high. From peak to tail it mesures between 3.94 to 4.33 inches.

Its distribution includes New Mexico, Arizona and western Texas in the U.S.A., and from Sonora and Nuevo Leon throughout the south to Sierra Madre Oriental and Occidental, the Central Plateau of Mexico to the shores of Guerrero and Oaxaca. Its natural habitats are the mountain woodlands, although during the summer is often a common resident of moist wooded that grows in the canyons. From peak to tail it measures 4.53 to 5.12 inches.
