The black-billed streametailed or Estern streamer-tailed hummingbird (Trochilus scitulus) was registered by Brewster and Bangs in 1901 and it's endemic of Jamaica. According to the "AOU" their distribution is restricted to the eastern end of the island, considering it only as a subspecies within the species "Trochilus polytmus". In this sense both species have a very long tail (6-7 in) which is only characteristic in males. For their part "Bird Live International", considered simply as a species that also shares the "Trochilus genus" (which is also endemic to Jamaica). From peak to tail it measures 10.0 in.
