
The Copper-rumped hummingbird or Common emerald (Amazilia tobaci or Saucerottia tobaci) was registered by Gmelin in 1788. It distribution includes the north and center of Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago as well as Grenada. Because of its great adaptability, this hummingbird inhabits open country as well as gardens and cultivation . From peak to tail it measures 3.54 inches.
