El Colibrí serrano pintado o Colibrí nagüiblanco (Urochroa bougueri or Trochilus bougueri) único miembro del género "Urochroa", fué registrado por Bourcier en 1851. Tiene dos subespecies, Urochroa bougueri bougueri en la ladera occidental andina, y Urochroa leucura bougueri en la vertiente andina oriental. Su hábitat natural son los bosques húmedos de montaña. Su distribución comprende la región Andina de Colombia, Ecuador y Péru. De pico a cola mide 15 cm.The White-tailed hillstar or White-throated hillstar (Urochroa bougueri) only member of the "Urochroa" genus, was registered by Bourcier in 1851. It has two subspecies, Urochroa bougueri bougueri on the west Andean slope, and Urochroa bougueri leucura on the east Andean slope. Its natural habitat are the montain humid forests. Its distribution includes the Andean region of Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. From peak to tail it measures 5.91 in.
