El Colibrí pico de sierra grande (Ramphodon naevius) fué registrado por Dumont en 1818. Es un colibrí endémico de Brasil cuyo hábitat son los bosques tropicales y selva costera del Atlántico. Esta especie se encuentra posiblemente amenazada por lo cual ha sido incluida dentro del Apéndice II del CITES. En portugués recibe el nombre de "Beija Flor Rajado". De pico a cola mide 15 cm.
The Saw-billed hermit (Ramphodon naevius) was registered by Dumont in 1818. It is a hummingbird endemic to Brazil whose habitat is the rainforest and the Atlantic coastal forest. This species is near theatened which has been included in the Appendix II of CITES. In Portuguese is called "Beija Flor Rajado". From peak to tail it measures 5.91 in.
