El Colibrí maravilloso o Colibrí cola de espátula (Loddigesia mirabilis) es endémico de Perú. Fué registrado por Bourcier en 1847. Su hábitat se restringe a las laderas orientales del Valle del Río Utcubamba, en la Cordillera del Colán en la Amazonia, así como en San Martín al norte de Perú. Esta ave se encuentra en peligro por lo cual, fué incluida en el Apéndice II del CITES. Mide 13 cm. Marvellous spatuletail (Loddigesia mirabilis) is endemic of Perú. It was registered by Bourcier in 1847. Its habitat is restricted to the eastern slopes of the Rio Utcubamba Valley in the Cordillera del Colán, Amazonas as well as San Martín at north of Perú. This bird is endangered, therefore, was included in the Appendix II of CITES. It measures 5.12 in.
