The Stripe-tailed hummingbird or Striped-tailed hummingbird (Eupherusa eximia) was registered by DeLattre in 1843. Its distribution includes from the Gulf slope of southeastern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica y Panama. Its natural habitat are the subtropical or tropical moist forest, adjacent clearings and heavily degraded former forests. From peak to tail it measures 3.94 inches.
