
The Blue-capped hummingbird or Oaxaca's hummingbird (Euperusa cyanophrys) was registered by Rowley and Orr in 1964. It is a species of hummingbird endemic to subtropical moist forest in the southernmost portion of the Sierra Madre del Sur in the Mexican State of Oaxaca. This bird is sometimes considered a subspecies of the "Stripe-tailed hummingbird" (Eupherusa eximia). From peak to tail it measures 4.33 in.
